Fun Hobbies to do During Your Free Time

Updated: Jul 5, 2020

Bored? Well, you're in luck! We've got a whole list of hobbies that you will love!

Okay, admit it. We're all bored of quarantine, and sooner or later, we have to find something to do. I don't know about you, but I would most definitely prefer something sooner. So for all you bored people out there, here's a list of things that might brighten up your day.

  • Read!

You're probably like: you're kidding me, right? And I know I sound like a nagging mom, but the truth is, you just have to find the right book for you. I like fantasy or realistic fiction, but mystery is also something I appreciate. That is, if I don't get scared first! Anyway, the point is, anything works, so long as you like it. I don't care if you read a graphic novel or a small book, whatever makes you happy! You don't have to do what I say, but I'm certain that if you tried, you would find just the right book. There's always a book for everyone.

  • Do Sudoku

All my fellow sudoku-lovers can agree that this game is probably the best ever invented. Trust me when I say it's addicting, because I won't be surprised if you've got your nose buried deep in a sudoku book in a few days time. This fantastic mind puzzle consists of a 9 by 9 grid, with some boxes filled out with numbers. The goal is to fill up every single box with numbers. How do you do it? Well, there are rules to it. Every single row, column, and box have to have the numbers 1-9 in them. You cannot repeat a number in any of them. Remember, diagonals don't matter!

  • Knit!

I would be fine with you doing any yarn art at all. Not that you have to do anything in the first place, it was just a suggestion. If you've never done any yarn crafts, I would start off with finger-knitting, or maybe loom-knitting. You can find tons of Youtube videos on both of those, so if you want to learn, just check that out. And please know that it's much more fun than it seems. I have been finger-knitting for four or five years now, and I never get bored of it. In fact, I practiced so much that I can do it without looking!

  • Write Stories!

You'd be surprised at what your imagination can think up! And though I've never written or typed out a story, trust me when I say there are millions of things swarming in my head. I'm okay with you not wanting to do this, but I know some would love it. Just a little fact about me: I can calm down when writing.

I think that's enough for now. I would totally try checking some of these things out, because they rock! Everyone's got a hobby, right?
